Hi, I’m Elissa, a visual arts student with a minor in geography and urban studies. My work is influenced by my everyday life, my environment, and the people who have shaped me. Growing up Lebanese and living in Ottawa, I’m interested in how identity is shaped through place, memory, and personal experience.

I often document familiar spaces, objects, and individuals through photography, drawing, and painting. Language, family, and cultural references frequently appear in my work, reflecting my connection to my roots and the experience of living between cultures. My practice is both intuitive and exploratory, allowing me to better understand myself and the world around me through visual form.

أوثّق الأماكن والأشياء والأفراد المألوفين من خلال التصوير والرسم والتلوين. تظهر اللغة والعائلة والمراجع الثقافية بكثرة في أعمالي، مما يعكس ارتباطي بجذوري وتجربة العيش بين ثقافتين. ممارستي الفنية حدسية واستكشافية في آنٍ واحد، مما يسمح لي بفهم نفسي والعالم من حولي بشكل أفضل من خلال الشك البصري
