Tracing Language | تتبع اللغة

This project combines photography and handwritten Arabic to explore the relationship between language, place, and identity. By documenting my process of studying and writing Arabic and its historical scripts, alongside images such as a hand-drawn map of Ottawa, I reflect on the connection between cultural origins and present surroundings. Through writing, repetition, and documentation, this work examines how language and geography shape memory, belonging, and personal experience.
